CAREY
My name is Carey (not Carrie, and yes, I am female) and I am the office MGR here at the DUV Agency of Landstar.
I am married with 3 wonderful kids, and have a dog named Gordon.
I have been with the Agency since the very beginning, back when we had only two phone lines, and every call was answered by the second ring!
I'm the one that you must call if you have a problem on a load during the night that will put the on-time delivery at risk! No, I don't want to get "loaded" or "empty" calls on my cell - that's what the check call line is for :)
We are now big enough, and busy enough that I rarely get to talk to you drivers personally anymore, but trust me; I hear your names, and things about you from all the people here! We're still in one LARGE room and I have a mother's hearing, and hear EVERYTHING!
My family and I are big on camping and boating, and I try to be the typical "soccer Mom" to my kids - taking them to all their after-school activates.

PETER
Hello! I am Peter Crockett, and I am the "Special Products Manager" here at DUV, a Landstar Agency.
I am a retired Landstar Truck driver, I got off the road bout six years ago, and my truck number was 7742 (was an old Gemini rollover that got moved to Ranger right after Landstar got all the Companies).
While I have never paid $3.00 a gallon for fuel, I do have a pretty good idea about life on the road, and my brother (who I dragged to Ranger bout 13 yrs ago) is a "Million Miler for Landstar and is currently still driving for Landstar.
About my title - it really means that I am a glorified gopher - go do this, take care of that, deal with this problem, and so on.
I'm very married, have two grown kids, and have four dogs, Milo (Rat Terrier), Bru (Shepherd-Lab mix), Lacy (Jack Russell Terrier), and the baby at 17 weeks of age and 37 LBS, Nyla (A pure breed, East German stock, all black, German Shepherd) - as you can see, the dogs are a BIG part of my off-duty life!
Taking care of my home, boating, the dogs, movies, and reading are my joys!
As I do "projects' for the DUV Agency, and Mr. Secrest (the Landstar Agent) - I find I am only talking to some of my long-time regular drivers! But, you never know when I'll log into the "driver group" - and take your call!

MARCY
My name is Marcy, and I am happily employed with Landstar. I have three daughters, and three granddaughters that own my heart.
I have a black cat named Shadow. I Am currently single, and looking for my next ex-husband. (Just Kidding) I enjoy any boating, roller-skating, concerts with Candy (another DUV/RKY freight coordinator) and I love a good game of pool.
I am attending a community college for an associate's degree in Social Work. I have decided to stay at Landstar after my completion, because I would miss my drivers, and they would miss me. Wishful thinking huh?
I like to have fun, and make people laugh. I enjoy a good joke myself, as long as it's not at my expense, so call in and tell me one. I will be expecting yer call.

ROBIN
My name is Robin; I am married with 1 son. I started with the DUV Agency of Landstar in July 2005.
Since then I have learned a lot about trucking from recruiting to moving freight, to dealing with tired truck drivers!
It has been a great experience for me, and I have made many friends at Landstar. I have always enjoyed working and talking to people.
I'm dedicated to my job, and take pride in doing a good job. I have experience in all areas of trucking. Whether it is working with customers, helping out drivers, answering phones, providing recruiting questions, or just being here to gab, I will always be willing to lend an ear! Let me know what you have to say, I'm listening.

DARLA
My name is Darla and I have been with Landstar for 2 years in the Recruiting Department of the RKY/DUV Agency. I work at the Landstar DUV Office in Canton , Ohio .
We are located at the Gulliver's Truck Stop. (Exit 101, I-77) There is a lot of parking for the drivers, with a restaurant, convenience store, gift shop and Chiropractor all at Gulliver's for the truck drivers.
So if you are not in a hurry to get to your next destination stop in and say Hello. We also keep log books for the drivers, com checks, hats, pens.
I love talking to all of the drivers out there, answering all of their questions from Recruiting to dispatching. Our office is open 7 days a week, so we are here to help you.
I live in Canton , Ohio and have 2 kids, a boy and a girl. My life revolves around keeping up with my work schedule from 8-4pm and staying involved with my kids and there sports. I enjoy going to the gym. I also like to be outdoors.
My goal in life is to always learn and moving forward. I want to travel the Greece , Europe and Spain.

TAMMY
My name is Tammy and I am a recruiter/dispatcher here in the DUV Agency for Landstar. I have been in the trucking industry for over 30 years and I've been a driver for 17 of those years.
I am proud of all that I have achieved in my years in these rigs, I've owned my own trucking companies twice, and I've run van, reefer, flatbed and step-deck. So you could say that I have been around the block a couple of times.
I have been told (more than once) that I must be crazy due to the hobbies that I have had in my past. The one hobby that draws the most interest...I was a bull-rider in amateur rodeo. That ranked in the top 5 greatest things I have done in my life. The fact that I am able to meet and overcome the fear that goes with this sport makes me feel good about myself. Riding bulls is how I came by my CB handle, Rodeo Angel.
I have so many hobbies, etc that if I listed 1/2 of them it would take you a week to read everything. So, I'm going to just give you a short idea of what I'm all about. I am presently in the process of preparing for a wedding - mine! My boyfriend, Jeff, and I ran as a team here at Landstar. Now we are both off the road and enjoying "home time". I love to do the domestic things like cooking, baking, gardening, home canning, needlepoint, painting and a ton of other things. I enjoy hunting and shooting in competitions for archery. I guess in a way it would just be easier to say the things I'm not into!
One of the biggest things I miss about being on the road as a driver is talking with drivers. But luckily I am able to talk to them everyday in my job. I love being able to help drivers to improve themselves in their careers and improve their livelihood. I also love the challenges of keeping on top of some of my "guys". Some of my drivers are always looking for ways to pull a trick on me or out-do me in jokes. So I'm always looking for new and improved ways to get back at them!

ALAYNA
My name is Alayna. I started working at Landstar DUV in December 2006.
Most of my work history entails customer service as my primary focus. I spent several years in restaurant management and banking. The trucking industry was not something I ever considered.
After newly implemented sales quotas forced me out of banking, I was told by a friend that Landstar may be hiring. Although it was hard to imagine what dispatching was, I was pleasantly surprised!
I really enjoy helping a truck driver get a load and giving him/her all of the pertinent information. I have a lot of respect for drivers and the difficult job they do to make our lives easier.
I have an 18 year old son, two Boston Terriers and two cats that keep me busy and broke. Please feel free to contact me at Landstar Agency of DUV for available freight I may be able to help you with.

CANDY
My name is Candy. I'm married with two grown sons. I have five grandkids, two dogs and two cats. I go camping every weekend from April thru October, only about an hour away but it's just far enough!! I also go to a lot of concerts, my favorites are the heavy stuff, Godsmack, Disturbed, Korn, but I also go to country ones as well.
I also support a few local bands. I came to the DUV office a little over a year ago; I had no idea of how the trucking industry worked at all. I have learned a lot in the past year here.
I never realized there was so much involved in moving freight from one place to the next!
I enjoy working here at Landstar and am glad I have had this opportunity to work with a great group of ladies...and a few men. I really like the relationships I have developed with my regular drivers. I enjoy working with all the drivers and try to help all that I can. I respect truck drivers very much, I never knew how hard a job they have but boy do I now!
I am here to help all drivers with Landstar, whether it's booking a load, giving them info or just listening to them. If there is anything I can do to help you at the DUV agency let me know, that's what I am here for.

PHIL
My name is Phil Mihai. I am 54 years young. I came to Landstar ~ DUV agency ~ in Oct, 2006 after 30 years of employment with a major steel company.
My entire time there was focused on the shipping and receiving departments at various levels management. It seemed only fitting that I perused my next career in what I knew best, moving freight.
I was fortunate enough to come to Landstar at a time when they were looking for a new hire. I feel as though I have an insight to what truck drivers have to tolerate and how they have to deal with being considered "second class citizens " at both the shipping and the receiving end of moving freight, and I try to make trucking as smooth as possible for our Landstar drivers.
My father was a lifer in the Army, and we moved constantly while growing up. I attended 16 different schools before graduating high school. I lived in places ranging from, Caribou. ME. to Schofield Barracks, HI., and everywhere in between.
I am a professional skydiver in my spare time. I made my first jump in June of 1979, and found out on my first jump that I am an adrenaline junky. As for pets, I have a 5 foot California King Snake named Houdini, as any chance he gets, he tries to escape.
I consider myself fortunate to be employed by the DUV Agency of Landstar, as the majority of the drivers I deal with are dedicated professionals, and take pride in what they do.

DENISE
Hi! My name is Denise. I have worked for the Landstar DUV Agency for 2 years.
I really enjoy what I do here. I am the DUV ADMIN J . I am also known as the "check call girl", and yes, I am the one that wakes you up every morning - LOL.
I am married and I have 1 son he is 18 going on 19 this month. I really like movies and the Summer time! Sun, swimming and all that J
I enjoy hearing you guys saying funny stuff on the check calls, BUT, the check call line isn't the place to leave 7 minute life histories either.

LISA
Hi. My name is Lisa....I work in the DUV office, have been known to have low tolerance, and I don't play well with others. Kindly take the load...get it there on time ...and everything will be fine. I will help you out any way that I can, either by helping to solve a problem you might have...or getting you a load, as long as you talk to me respectfully. On the lighter side
I have 4 children, (Jessica, Lacey, Scott, Summer) 1 grandchild, (Ashton) and a attack dog (Guido). I like reading, cooking, camping....and I love harleys....almost as much as I love the big man riding the harley.
