Landstar BCO Owner-Operators Receive COVID-19 Assistance

Landstar understands the strain and stress that is put upon the drivers who are on the frontline. During a Safety Thursday Conference Call, it was announced that Landstar owner-operators would receive financial help for being on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Landstar has authorized money to be available for owner-operators that have tested positive for COVID-19 or are required to quarantine.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Landstar has authorized money to be available for owner-operators that have tested positive for COVID-19 or are required to quarantine. During this time, owner-operators will receive a $1,000 check every week for two weeks.

COVID-19 has caused many individuals to be displaced from their employment or require them to take a 14-day self-quarantine. At Landstar, we understand that being off work can cause many different stressors, and we aim to support our drivers. This new program sent forth is to help BCOs be able to stay home and put their health above all without the stress of worrying where their next paycheck will come from.

If you have recently been diagnosed with COVID-19 or you required to self-quarantine by a health care provider, all BCOs are asked to contact BCOSupport@landstar.com. Together, we can work to help you receive the financial support you deserve.
